The Municipal Corporation of Delhi has introduced uniform rates for the issuance and renewal of factory permits. The rates are expected to be hiked by up to 15% every three years. The move comes after the unification of the three municipal corporations into the Municipal Corporation of Delhi. The new rates have been brought into effect from July 5, 2022. The revised rates of the registration fee (one time) and licence fee (one time) for obtaining new permits have been fixed according to the power load (horsepower) of the factory. The minimum fee has been set at Rs 2,000 and the maximum has been pegged at Rs 50,000. Application and processing fees have been fixed at Rs 1,000.

The licence can be renewed within 30 days from the date of expiry without any penalty. After the due date, a penalty of 5% per month will be charged.
